Description: This 1911-D Indian Half Eagle has second lowest mintage of only 72,500 and is a key date coin in the $5 half eagle Indian series. Very tough coin to find in any uncirculated grade. Only the 1909-O has a lower mintage of 34,200. This coin is well struck and has a bold mintmark. Only 64 graded in MS61 with only about 143 graded finer! There are only a total of 215 coins graded in Uncirculated Mint State condition! A true early 20th century rarity Great addition to any collection, especailly a gold Indian Head themed collection, gold Indian half eagle set or typeset.
